Abstract

|
Adenomatoid tumors arising in the uterus are relatively rare neoplasm and usually solitary lesion. We describe a case of adenomatoid tumor of the uterus in a 48-year-old woman. The lesion was consisted of a subserosal and 3 intramural masses with
a
maximum diameter of 3cm. Histologically, the tumor was composed of multiple cystic spaces lined by flattened or cuboidal cells. Immunohistochemical study showed the cells to be positive for keratin and negative for factor VIII-related
antigen(Factor
VIII). These findings strongly support the mesothelial origin of the adenomatoid tumor of the uterus.
